Abstrak

Community Service Learning (KPM) is one of the ways higher education institutions fulfill their responsibility to make tangible contributions to society. At STAI Tanbihul Ghofilin Banjarnegara, KPM is a mandatory course for seventh-semester students, aiming to integrate academic knowledge with practical skills to assist communities. One of the locations for KPM implementation is Beji Village, Banjarmangu Subdistrict, Banjarnegara Regency, where the majority of residents are farmers. The KPM program in Beji Village focuses on two main areas: economic empowerment through entrepreneurship seminars, such as training in small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) product development, and education on Islamic financial systems. The entrepreneurship seminars provide alternative business ideas for local housewives, including training on product creation with an emphasis on packaging. Meanwhile, the financial education segment aims to introduce the concept of saving as a strategy for long-term financial management that is inclusive and Sharia-compliant. The program employs a group work method involving observation, community engagement, and direct practice with local residents. The outcome is a dual benefit: students deliver tangible contributions while gaining hands-on experience integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application. Simultaneously, the program promotes community independence through Sharia-based economic practices. Thus, KPM is expected to create a positive impact on Beji Village in terms of economic development and entrepreneurship.
