The traditional Islamic boarding school, known as pondok pesantren, has long been established and thriving within Indonesian society. Today, some pondok pesantren are beginning to recognize their potential and role as social and economic institutions. Community Development methodology has emerged as a significant approach in social work, aiming primarily to enhance the quality of life by harnessing the potential or resources within communities. Pondok pesantren, traditionally known as centers for religious education, also hold the potential to drive social and economic change.
This study examines the impact of pesantren contributions on the local economic dynamics in Mantrianom Village, Bawang, Banjarnegara. In this research phase, a qualitative descriptive approach is utilized to gather relevant information and data. This includes direct interviews with sources, observations, and document analysis such as articles, journals, or literature pertinent to the research focus. Following a series of data analysis and interpretation, the research findings indicate that economic development around the Tanbihul Ghofilin pesantren not only influences the well-being of the internal community but also plays a role in creating job opportunities and supporting the broader community's economy, known as Community Development.
