Abstrak

Economic activities in rural communities involve various forms of service transactions based on local customs, mutual trust, and agreements between parties. One such activity is rice milling, in which farmers utilize milling services to process harvested paddy into rice. In practice, payment for milling services may be made in cash, rice, or other forms of compensation. This condition raises issues concerning the validity and transparency of ijarah contracts, particularly regarding the clarity of services, wages (ujrah), rights and obligations, and mutual consent between the parties. This study aims to analyze the implementation of ijarah contracts in the rice milling business operated by Mr. Yanto in Jlegong Village, Karangkobar District, Banjarnegara Regency, and to examine its conformity with Islamic economic principles based on the Fathul Mu’in. The study employs an empirical approach using observation, interviews, and documentation. Primary data are obtained from the rice mill owner and farmers or customers, while secondary data are derived from Islamic jurisprudence literature and previous studies. The analysis focuses on the clarity of the contract, transparency of ujrah, mutual consent, service arrangements, and the rights of contracting parties. The study emphasizes that transparent and mutually agreed ijarah practices can promote fairness, certainty, and trust in rural economic activities.
